Unit 1 Reflection
In this first unit of Anatomy and Physiology we started off learning the basics. We first learned the anatomical terms and then the basics of Anatomy/ Physiology learning the systems of our body and a basic of tissue types. We learned how a cell is composed and what each part of a cell and its function. Next we learned about Biological molecules and Histology. The first unit was really based on the basic understanding of how the anatomy fits into the physiology.
The themes and essential understandings we understanding how to use the anatomical terms properly, being able to define where certain things are on the body. We learned in histology, which is the study of the tissue, how the structure fits its physiology. We learned about different types of tissues and how they work with other parts of our body.
I learned so much through this unit. I learned how to properly define where something is on the body using the anatomical terms. I go a refreshing on how a cell is built. It was very interesting to learn about histology. I never knew what the tissues did and how they work with our body.
There is nothing that I don't fully understand. I struggled with understanding everything with histology in determining the different types of tissues( the photos).
For the next unit i think it wouldn't hurt to ask more questions when I first start to not understand what is going on. I could also spend a little more time studying before a test.
A real world job that would relate to this unit would be physical therapy. A physical therapist needs to know a lot about anatomy and physiology because they are taking care of patients. They need to understand what the patients need in order to
